Sri M K Srinivasan

Sri M K Srinivasan was also the President of Sri Vedanta Desika Research Centre, a non-profit organization founded by Seva Sri Srinivasa Raghavachariar, which is dedicated to publicize the teachings of Sri Vedanta Desika, an eminent preceptor of Visishtadvaita philosophy. In this capacity, Sri Srinivasan translated into English and Tamil several of Sri Desika’s hymns. During this time, he also delivered lectures on Srivaishnavism at Sree Malola Vageesa Vani, an educational centre devoted to the spread of that philosophy. From 2005 to 2008, he was also the Editor-in-Chief of the English edition of Sri Nrisimhapriya, the official journal of the Sri Ahobila Matham.
Sri M K Srinivasan has written some of the articles under pen-names such as Srivatsa, P P Srivatsa, A K Sathakopan and Melappalayam Srinivasan.
Smt Lakshmi Srinivasan
Smt. Lakshmi Srinivasan (1936-2015), wife of Sri M K Srinivasan, was well-versed in Visishtadvaita philosophy and in Srivaishnava Sampradaya. After completing her M.A in Vaishnavism from the University of Madras, Smt. Lakshmi continued her studies at Sri Malola Vageesa Vani, covering topics from Brahmasutras, Gitabhashya, and Srimad Rahasyatrayasaram. Being inclined towards research, she has written dissertations on Dramidopanishad-sara, Dramidopanishad-ratnavali, and Tirucchinnamaalai, all works of Sri Vedanta Desika. The first is unpublished, the second was serialized in Sri Nrisimhapriya, a journal of Sri Ahobila Math, and the third has been published as a book.
In addition to the above, Smt. Lakshmi was a regular contributor to several spiritual magazines like Sri Desika Seva, Anjali, etc., on varied themes of Visishtadvaita philosophy.
Usha Srinivasan
Ms Usha Srinivasan, daughter of Sri M K Srinivasan and Smt Lakshmi Srinivasan, is a freelance translator with a PhD in Sanskrit and a M.A in Srivaishnavism, both from the University of Madras. She has been instrumental in digitizing and cataloguing all the articles that appear on this website..
