Smt. Lakshmi Srinivasan

Smt. Lakshmi Srinivasan (1936-2015), wife of Sri M K Srinivasan, is well-versed in Visishtadvaita philosophy and in Srivaishnava Sampradaya.

After completing her M.A. degree in Vaishnavism from the University of Madras, Smt. Lakshmi continued her studies in the Advanced Course (Level III) conducted by Sri Malola Vageesa Vani and based on Brahmasutras, Gitabhashya, Bhagavadvishaya and Srimad Rahasyatrayasaram. Being inclined towards research, she has written dissertations on Dramidopanishad-sara and Dramidopanishad-ratnavali, Tiruchchinnamalai (திருச்சின்னமாலை), all works of Sri Vedanta Desika. The first is unpublished, the second was serialized in Sri Nrisimhapriya, a journal of Sri Ahobila Math, and the third has been published.

In addition to the above, Smt. Lakshmi was a regular contributor to several spiritual magazines like Sri Desika Seva, Anjali, etc., on varied themes of Visishtadvaita philosophy.

Our thanks to our daughter Usha, who typed and catalogued all our articles, while also pursuing her M.A. in Vaishnavism, and then M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Sanskrit.
